Hi, I’m a mom with two kids ages 16 (boy) and 8 (girl). We live in a two bedroom apartment in the hood of Brooklyn. It’s not your ideal neighborhood to live in but I’m studying, back in college and the rent is doable while raising kids, we live near the L train. I thought I would post here in hopes in finding someone who wouldn’t mind sleeping in the living room (twin bed, computer desk, drawers for clothes, and a curtain door for free in exchange to teaching me how to kashrut our kitchen and the basics of what it looks like to live like a Jew, to my children. There are two shuls 15 minute walking distance that are very sweet people to join for Saturday services. I have severe social anxiety and depression that makes it hard most days to leave my home so I prefer to stay to myself. If I’m not volunteering, I’m home.
