Makor is seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a Resident House Manager. The Resident House Manager will oversee the daily operations of a residential group home for individuals with disabilities, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and strong leadership skills to effectively manage staff and promote the well-being and independence of residents.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Leadership:
• Supervise and provide leadership to direct support staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, provide training and guidance, and facilitate team-building activities to promote a positive work environment.
• Lead by example, modeling professional behavior and fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.

2. Staff Scheduling:
• Develop and maintain staff schedules for direct support workers, ensuring appropriate coverage at all times, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Coordinate with staff members to accommodate scheduling requests, preferences, and time-off requests while ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
• Monitor and track staff hours, attendance, and overtime to ensure compliance with labor laws, agency policies, and budgetary constraints.
• Address scheduling conflicts, last-minute changes, and emergency staffing needs promptly and effectively.

3. Resident Care and Support:
• Oversee the development and implementation of individualized support plans for residents, in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and guardians.
• Monitor and evaluate residents' progress, behaviors, and health needs, making adjustments to support plans as necessary.
• Provide direct assistance and support to residents with activities of daily living, personal care, medication management, and recreational activities as needed.

4. Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure the group home complies with all relevant regulations, licensing standards, and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, emergency drills, and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards and ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of incidents, medications, resident records, and other required reports.

5. Communication and Collaboration:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, families, guardians, and external stakeholders, fostering open communication and addressing concerns or inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with community resources, service providers, and healthcare professionals to coordinate services, referrals, and advocacy efforts on behalf of residents.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and individualized planning sessions to support holistic and person-centered care.

6. Administrative Duties:
• Manage budgetary responsibilities, including monitoring expenses, preparing financial reports, and allocating resources effectively,
• Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, resident documentation, and administrative tasks, utilizing electronic systems or databases as appropriate.
• Assist with the training of new staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a residential setting with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of developmental disabilities, behavioral interventions, and person-centered approaches to care.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, licensing standards, and best practices in the field of developmental disabilities services.
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
